Linda Lavid's totally engaging writing style is a joy to read. When I first saw "writer's block" I said, "oh no," but having read the novella cover to cover, I say "Lavid nails it!" Fiction writers will chuckle, (Yes, yes.), wince (how could she do that?), and nod (been there, done that), as Karen, the heroine (?) lands herself in terribly amusing (am I being callous?), right on target writer's block situations, gets herself wound up, stressed out, hung over, and brung down by her attempts to write and deal with her writing group members, James the witty philosophical poet and timid Lilly. And of course, there's Karen's mother. (No holds are barred with your mother when you've chosen to do something as whimsical as be a writer instead of, say a CPA).Product details
